DOPE TRACK: Sieren - Blue Memories

German producer Sieren crafts some absolutely amazing UK inspired bass on the final track of a split LP with Lomovolokno for Finest Ego. It's got all the classic elements of a Burial-influenced future garage track, like vinyl crackle throughout, deep, murky bass, reverb-heavy vocals, and the all-important skittering percussion elements. And it's FUCKING FANTASTIC, and simply a taste of the entire project which I've immediately become infatuated with since discovering yesterday. Deep, introspective tunes, odd percussion, powerful bass and a profound ethereality make for an awesome sonic combination, and these 2 new producers absolutely fucking kill it. Track 2 alone (Eena by Lomovolkono) is worth the 8 euro price tag on bandcamp.

This one's a couple years old, but I just discovered it and so should you... From Raw Tapes Records, Radixx put out this badass beat tape in 2010, full of heavy hitting, swaggeringly un-quantized BOOM BAP with massive grimy, videogame-y synths and crazy sounds & swooshes. Heavy head-nodder, this one is.
